Jämtverket
Background: Jämtverket is a furniture and interior design company in the northern part of Sweden. They are both designing and crafting the objects and upgrade old treasures. They asked me to create a visual identity for the brand. Approach: I wanted to create a brand that has a clear connection with their roots in Jämtland. Result: The logo is inspired from the iconic flag of the Jämtland Republic. Colors are inspired by the deep forest and imagery tells a story about the open landscapes and the feeling of being by yourself. Since they are using birch in their design I decided to design a typographic grid based on the marks of the birches, the horizontal lenticels.
